Non-Verbal Reasoning - Psychometric Glossary
Non-Verbal Reasoning is the ability to make inferences, based on sets of information (factual or fictional.) Also known as Fluid-General Intelligence, this term covers several types of reasoning skills, such as abstract reasoning, diagrammatic reasoning, numerical reasoning and spatial reasoning.
Non-Verbal Reasoning tests often involve the recognition of patterns or differences and similarities between sets of images. This type of test is often seen as more culturally neutral, as language skills are not heavily involved.
