Bias - Psychometric Glossary
Bias (or adverse impact) can be present in a psychometric testing scenario when one group of test takers find it harder to perform well on the test than another group: which on the face of it may suggest that this was not to do with the skill being measured. For example, bias can be a result of race, educational background, sex, or age of the test taker.
