Behavioural Competency / Behavioral Competency - Psychometric Glossary
Attributes or characteristics that tell a person how a job should be performed, rather than the specifics of what should be done from a content perspective. For example, the terms ‘Flexibility’, ‘Self-confidence’, or ‘Team Working’ might be considered behavioural competencies. These are typically used for simulation assessments (presentations, role plays, group exercises) and will have a list of positive and negative descriptors that tell assessors what to look for.
